Shortly after 21:30 on Friday, police gathered in small groups in the rain in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. (&#8230;) In Marseille, they were again more than 100, or 150 in Grenoble. At Calais too, police were mobilized.<\/p>\n<p>The movement, which is spreading since Monday with rallies in Lyons, Lille, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nancy, Toulon, Nice or Marseille, follows a violent Molotov cocktail attack at police vehicle Viry-Chatillon, in Essonne, October 8.<\/p>\n<p>During the attack, a 28 year old security assistant was critically burned. He remains hospitalized, immersed in an artificial coma but is no longer on life support.
