As of September 29, 2021, a total of 6.1 billion doses of vaccine have been administered worldwide, the majority of which in rich countries.<\/p>\n<p>Fifteen African countries, nearly a third of the continent\u2019s 54 nations, have fully vaccinated 10% of their population against the new coronavirus, according to the World Health Organization. Seychelles and Mauritius have fully vaccinated over 60% of their population. Morocco follows with 48% as well as Tunisia, Comoros and Cape Verde, with more than 20%.
