Registration is fast enough since “one day is enough to take the steps,” says Anna Panou, psychologist, Doctors of the World in the camp. After their arrival, migrants are queuing to get a number and wait again to get their papers. According to UNHCR (High Commissioner for Refugees), nearly 20,000 migrants were present at Lesbos in September.<\/p>\n
There are several NGOs and associations present on site to provide medicine, food and clothes. Sahar Afghan refugee, shows their support but remains doubtful: “They are kind and available to migrants, but they do not give enough food … Anyway, it’s better than nothing.” (…)<\/p>\n
