A dozen villages in the region have been affected by intercommunal violence.<\/p>\n
The attacks in Burkina Faso are not new. In 2018, more than 220 security incidents were reported in this West African country, particularly in its northern part close to the border with Mali and Niger, Incidents that have disrupted the livelihoods and way of life of communities in the region.<\/p>\n
