Syria: 15 displaced children died due to winter cold
At least 15 children, the vast majority of whom were under the age of one, have died in Syria in recent weeks due to winter cold and lack of care, according to the UN. “With cold temperatures and lack of care,” at least eight children died in Rokbane, an IDP camp in southern Syria, while seven others died as their families were fleeing a jihadist stronghold in the east of the country at war, Unicef said in a statement.
