According to Dr. MBAINODJI, the current situation of children in Chad is alarming. He highlights the lack of effective protection for this vulnerable segment of the population, which remains largely marginalized, ignored, and whose best interests are not prioritized. In response to this reality, he calls for the urgent launch of awareness-raising campaigns and for the widespread dissemination of international legal instruments related to children’s rights, which remain poorly known and insufficiently applied in the country.
Among the major issues identified are the forced marriages of minors, particularly young girls, who are deprived of their rights to childhood, education, and health.
