How long will Gaza survive without water?
Due to power cuts of more than 20 hours a day that have become a rule these days, the water crisis has prompted the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip to dig wells without authorization, ignoring consequences for serious threats to already scarce aquifer reserves.
Omar Hamid, head of a family of nine, told Al-monitor, « the municipality delivers water to homes in only two hours every two or three days. This is not enough to meet the minimum basic needs of a family. » (…)
